Rochelle Christopher, Executive Director of Victorian Vanities, Inc. is a dynamic, energetic, independent historian and speaker who creates exciting, informative, and interactive programs for retirement communities, senior centers, libraries, and other organizations seeking to connect people with their past. Creator of the award-winning program Step Back in Time, Ms. Christopher and her staff create programs destined to become an important part of your activities.

In this evening’s program, Ms. Christopher will explore the greatest maritime disaster in U.S. history, whether the Chicago Fire was the biggest ever, who were the Mississippi Indians and their huge cities, and other anomalies history has forgotten.

Cinema & Television: the New Jersey Connection with Walter C

Walter Choroszewski is Jersey Proud and celebrates the state’s historic contributions to American Cinema and Television — from Edison’s Black Maria Studio to the numerous Jersey-born artists that starred on the big and little screens.

He showcases New Jersey’s silent film history and recent popularity in movies and reality TV.

Come join us for an entertaining and eye-opening view of Jersey knowns and also-knowns, big and little, past and present. Enjoyable for the whole family.

General Membership Meeting & Program

 Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 7 pm in the lower level

This membership meeting will be when we vote on the Friends Annual Budget

The program will feature award-winning author Marlo Berliner. She will be sharing famous ghost stories appropriate to the season of the New Jersey area.

She will also be presenting her new book The Ghost Chronicles 2, part of a series inspired by the legend of a haunting in Cape May, N.J.

Marlo’s first book won the NJRW Golden Leaf Award for Best First Book among other honors.

 Join us on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 7 pm to be mesmerized and enthralled by a recreation of the lives of such greats as Martha Graham, Gene Kelly, Michael Jackson, Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers, Rudolph Nureyev, Mikhail Baryshnikov and more.

Following a very short Friends of the Hamilton Library meeting, Ms. Rochelle Christopher and her staff from Victorian Vanities Inc., create a program showing the art of dance as a unique form of expression, employing universal body language that everyone understands.

From ballet to contemporary, from hip-hop to salsa, and from oriental to flamenco, dance is enjoying a renaissance.

This live presentation showcases ten of the greatest dancers of the twentieth century — selected for their fame, popularity, and influence around the globe.
