Volunteers needed for Help at Book Sales

We need a few more volunteers from our present ranks who are willing to help at our bi-monthly Book Sales. Just two to three hours, either Saturday or Monday. Next sales are May 14 and May 16.

Our one day sale on March 19 netted $2300 so business is brisk and your presence will help all readers process and checkout their purchases in a timely manner, so that they have more time to read!

Contact our Book Sales Chairperson Mary Linda Perry or simply respond on our Contact Us page.

High School Community Service Internships Available

Volunteering for the Friends can be a fulfilling and rewarding community service for anyone, and high school students are particularly invited to offer some of their time as interns.

We have Sorters and Stockers, Book Sale Helpers, PC Checkers of valuable books, Book Packers, Daily Book Sellers, Restockers and more jobs that are fulfilling because progress can be seen immediately. Your assistance will go a long way in promoting the aims of the Friends and the Hamilton Library.

Earn a Certificate Letter from the Friends for hours worked in any of our many volunteer posts. This can be after school or during the summer. Annual student membership is required and only costs $5.00.

Hours worked will certainly improve a student’s resume or college submission. Hours are flexible and easy to fit into your schedule.

Use our “Contact Us” page to send us a note if you’re interested in a service project that will look great.
